Hello to anybody that has found this blog on its very first day of existence. That is remarkable. Also hello to those of you who have later found this blog and found your way to this comment.

As the above should have made clear, this is the very first post in what I hope will be a successful blog. I hope that new stories from around the world will find their way here, where we can look closely at each. As this is the first day, the first post, the first few minutes, I will not try to put too rigid a frame around the project. Instead, I will let it evolve; pruning the bad and selecting the good. So on to the stories!
